If Beyonceitis was that strong, it would have ended Alicia Keys, who didn't even hit a brick wall until recently.

Alicia had something the other girls lacked:
Her own style and her own work. The others needed a hundred writers and producers to even challenge Beyoncé.
Plus Alicia is Half white, that also helped her appeal to more than just the R&B world (Unfortunately, it's true)
