I remember the emergency room was **** though. I waited for like 5 hours before they could run tests on me.
Then it was another 2 hours before I actually had my surgery and they told me it was about to burst.

American healthcare is horrifying. I was diagnosed with chrones disease this year and amassed over 10,000 dollars (their deductable) in like a month. And now because of that we are living paycheck to paycheck, won't get to go on spring break this year, etc. it's ********.
There is no such thing as free healthcare........ It's paid for through Taxes.

US residents keep more of their money/pay less in taxes. It is a trade off. Being in a smaller country makes having a national healthcare system much easier.

That is not necessarily true. A large amount of employers offer great insurance plans to their employees such as Starbucks to baristas. Americans want choice which is what Obamacare aims to offer.

That's not true that only the rich can afford healthcare. That would mean no one I know has it... And they do
