Britney came in a time to success when it wasn't much necessary to sing live, due to former predecessor Paula Abdul and Madonna.

They said to her, it isn't important to sing live, we put a show on that's what the kids wants to see.

If it was me I would probably do the same.

Look if Katy were born earlier and would came to success in the early 90's she would do no other.

But now we live in the YT era and if Katy would try to lip-synce everytime it would be catastrophe.

Even on her first and second albums Britney's vocals were really good.



You'll notice they were a lot deeper than that baby tone she uses now.

I should of been more clear. I meant 1999 vocally. It sounds like a young Britney could of sung it. The acoustic version fits right in with Oops and BOMT.

Her vocals on Toilet Spray are a disgrace. The 'there's threeeeeeeee' part makes me cringe everytime, she sounds like a dying cat.

Even nowadays (well, whenever the last time we heard ha was) when Britney sings in a key she's comfortable with (ie. lower), she sounds great.

I don't know why all her studio tracks use that damn baby voice when her lower register is the strongest.
