I guess you could say the main vocalist is someone who carries the brunt of difficult notes. They're typically the best singer in the group and receive the most lines. The lead vocalist doesn't get as many lines/solo slots, but is still acknowledged as a good singer, and they support the main vocalist in songs. For example, Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. are the main vocalists in Exo, while Suho and Luhan are the lead vocalists. There's clearly a difference in caliber between Chenbaeksoo and Luho.
How can he not notice that he was taking the same route?
