EXACTLY! If she cared about the GP and people liking her, do you think she would've changed so much? She doesn't feel like she has anything to prove at the moment. That might change in the future (I doubt it), but right now she's not feeling like she needs to conform.

Of course she is going to be happy when people buy her music. She wants people to appreciate it, obviously, but if they don't then she doesn't care. She's happy with what she has.
