Welcome everyone to HOLYGROUND’s Year-End Countdown for 2013! This is the first time I’m doing a year-end countdown on ATRL so I am really thrilled about this.
This year, I will be doing THREE main countdowns: The Top 20 Albums, The Top 75 Artists and The Top 100 Singles. In addition to my top 100 singles, I will do a Top 10 Bubbling Under, which countdowns the 10 songs that almost made it into my top 100 (or basically positions 110 to 101).
Timeline:
14 Dec 2013 – 21 Dec 2013 – Top 75 Artists – 5-10 artists revealed per day
23 Dec 2013 – 24 Dec 2013 – Top 10 Bubbling Under – 5 songs revealed per day
25 Dec 2013 – 3 Jan 2014 – Top 100 Singles – 10 songs revealed per day
4 Jan 2014 – 7 Jan 2014 – Top 20 Albums – 5 albums revealed per day
Expect lots of delays though, as I’m not guaranteed free every single day and school would be starting in January.
Let me just say though, 2013 hasn’t been an amazing year in music for me. I remember for previous years, the top few songs are always really clear to me. But for this year, they weren’t so. So I guess this year had less huge hits in my opinion.
Nevertheless, music is music and it’s always enjoyable. I hope ya’ll comment and have fun as I reveal the best music in my opinion of this year! So let’s get down to business.

Yep! Mostly based on my last.fm plays
Albums were fine cos I don't really listen to tons of albums (I've only listened to 28 albums in full this year ) But I remember in the past years I could do up my top 100 songs in like an hour, but for this year, I am still sort of struggling to finalise it

There's our first Top 75 Artist of 2013, Robin Thicke! He makes it in at the last position, thanks to his big hit which I do not need to name. Well I ain't into this guy, so it's a good feat that he makes it just based on one song. Be sure to look out where his song lands on the Top 100 Singles!

Foster the People

Despite not releasing anything new this year and having no singles too, Foster the People still manages to make it onto the Top 75 Artists chart, thanks to their amazing 2011 album, Torches, which I still listen to occasionally. I just can't wait for their new material in January!
