Sister Mary Eunice was just... She might be my favorite AHS character of all time. Asylum was everything I wanted from this series.

So apparently for Season 4, Ryan Murphy appears to have stated that filming will happen in Santa Fe, and that they are centering the season around one of New Mexico's most famous residents. I did a bit of research and although this may not be the resident they have in mind, this certainly could make for an interesting Season.

The Toy-Box Killer.

David Parker Ray-Zakre (November 6, 1939 – May 28, 2002) was a suspected American serial killer and known torturer of women. Though no bodies were found, he was accused by his accomplices of killing several people and suspected by police to have murdered as many as sixty people from Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico area, while living in the town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, though none of his victims came from there. He has been given the moniker "Toy-Box Killer".[1] Neglected as a child, in his teenage years Ray became dependent on alcohol and illicit drugs. In later life, he built his "toy box", a converted truck trailer that he had soundproofed and equipped with items used for torture.

David Parker Ray sexually tortured and presumably killed his victims in a $100,000 homemade torture chamber he called his "toy box" that he built out of an old mobile home,[3] which was equipped with what he referred to as his "friends": whips, chains, pulleys, straps, clamps, leg spreader bars, and surgical blades and saws.[3] It is thought that he terrorized many women while living in the town of Truth or Consequences with these tools for several years, with the added assistance of multiple accomplices, allegedly including several of the women he was dating.

Inside the torture room, along with numerous sex toys, torture implements, syringes, and detailed diagrams (made by Ray himself) showing different methods and techniques for inflicting pain, there was a homemade electricity generating device that was used in torture. Mounted above the gynecologist-type table he used to strap his victims to, was a mirror attached to the ceiling. He has been said to have wanted his victims to see everything he was doing to them during the torture sessions. [1]:3 Ray would often have a recorded audio tape of himself played for his victims whenever they regained consciousness.

Victims: Between 14-60.

It's quite a read and extremely disturbing, but I must say. It is American Horror Story.

Uhm... I need something more traditional for Season 4. The rumored town story was pretty cool

Question though: Compared to Coven, does Asylum have more or less sex scenes shown? Because I'm planning to watch it with my brother, but don't want to have to awkwardly sit through a bunch of sex scenes. Anything else we can handle though.

Asylum has some graphic sex scenes and sexual situations so be prepared.

OMG that entire season was incredible. Sister Jude >>>>>>>>>

Binge watching it in a couple of days puts you in such a weird mood though. It has such a depressing and dark feeling.

EDIT: Reading a few pages back and at people saying its the worst season. I thought Coven was good but after seeing Asylum....

lol if you look at all the comments on AHS related things everywhere.
There's a strong divide of people who thin Season 1 was THe best and season 2 was horrible
and those who think Season 1 was horrible and season 2 was the best thing ever.
Season 3 has the most consistency with the public.
People either think it's the best or second best season.
No one really trashes it like the other two.

Actually after seeing Asylum again... It kind of slayed me all over again. I'm not sure if it's better than S1, but I don't dislike it as much. Not that I hated it or something.

The alien plot though. No thanks.

Yeah I see what you mean. I guess it largely depends on differing tastes. I just started season 1 and so far I'm not enjoying it all that much. I think the idea behind Asylum interests me more; possession, Christianity, insanity etc.

Season 3 is far less polarising and intense in many regards.

One of the best scenes in season 2. So unexpected and amazing.

The name game scene is one of the best scene in season 2. It`s just so ridiculous crazy fit in that insane season.
For me season 2 is much better than season 1, it`s just so messy and all over the place but everything come together at the end.
