Grouping millions and billions of people into one category is racist. It's okay to have a preference, but a preference for Latinos, blacks, etc. is not the same as omitting an entire race.

Jesus Christ, people!
. You all are so bogged down by the question of whether or not it is "racist," that you miss the main point: It is RUDE and CLASSLESS. That's enough!
You're entitled to have your preferences, but you should be very tactful in how you state them, or don't state them unless asked by that individual.
Whether you believe it is racist or not, the lesson here should be that...

Racism permeates all layers of a society that is based on the white male-oriented patriarchal systems of power.
Dead at the white boys in here telling people of color discussing their experiences with racism within the gay community to stop "making a big deal out of preferences."
Ignorance is the luxury of the privileged.

If you're not attracted to Asians, okay, cool, is there a need for you to put that on your Grindr profile? If someone who is Asian initiates with you on these dating sites/apps it would not make your day worse by having to just simply say you're not interested. I think these white gays who do this are more than just not attracted to Asians, there's just this notion in American society that Asians are socially inferior and you should be embarrassed to be around them. I've gotten so many weird looks from people after showing my interest in Asian culture and music, yet those same white people are the ones listening to rap and R&B. It's clearly a double standard and racism and I just don't know how white people, including many in this thread, are just focussing on racism only if it's to white or black people

Unless you've met every single person on this planet then I don't see how you can swear off an entire group of people as possible interests. Not to mention the stupid lengths that people go to in order to make those groups feel ugly or rejected.

Not surprised at the racism and ignorance in this thread. Asian men are routinely de-sexualized and stereotyped as either the nerdy asexual geek or the wacky side character in the media; degrading stereotypes like "all Asian men have tiny penises" don't pop out of nowhere.
If you say "I'm not attracted to Asians" you are RACIST, point blank. You don't know every member of the Asian race (the concept of the "Asian race" is problematic in itself but that's another can of worms), you can't know for sure if you are 100% not attracted to every Asian man you will ever encounter. Saying "I usually do not find myself attracted to Asian men, based on past experience, but I remain open to judging every invidual as an individual and not as a member of a race that I hold prejudices against" is a bit better, but putting any version of that on your Grindr profile is just RUDE and hurtful.
How would you, as a white person (because you know damn well 90% of the people who think it's not racist are white), feel if every other profile said "no pasty whites pls xoxo", in a society that constantly portrayed you as being totally devoid of sexuality or desirability as a partner?

This!
I have had this discussion a lot, and I find it inherently racist. Not all Asians, blacks, or any other race look entirely the same, so saying you are not attracted to a whole race, is judging the entire race.
