I meant to say that people are just attracted to some features more than
others, and sometimes those features are restricted to certain races (or
sexes). For example, I find hairy men attractive. Generally white and
black men are hairy, so that rules out some Asians and Latinos.
I'm not going to date someone who isn't hairy just to make them happy.

Hmm, but what I'm saying is that if you paint an entire race as "unattractive", you're implying they all look the same. And that's racist.
BTW, a lot of Asians are hairy. :P

You just quoted somebody confessing, literally "I just don't care for white guys", and you don't comment on that AT ALL.
Yet if the comment had read, 'I just don't care for asian guys", you'd be giving them a lecture.
|
Will someone please think about us whites, it's hard out here for us!

Nah. You're not racist. You just haven't encountered the right one. lol.

I don't know how any straight male couldn't find Queen Naomi attractive despite her asian and black heritage. She's kinda the most beautiful woman in the world.

Did I say "I like Asian guys with dark hair?" or any variation of that sentence?
If not, you need to back off because dark hair is an aesthetic feature that any race can have.

No it doesn't.
When you say "I'd rather not have ANY asian men" or whatever, you're basically saying you'd rather be hit on by that first gentlemen than this guy
or this guy
That's whats so weird about it.

Once again, none of this is true. "Race" and whatever notions you've ascribed to it have no bearing on how a person appears.

I do not think that Asian men are ugly as a rule. Just putting that out there, in plain sight.
My reasoning for not being attracted to any individual person is ALWAYS based on appearance and appearance alone. Just because I do not find somebody attractive DOES NOT mean I find them ugly, in my view. There is a difference between someone who I am not attracted to and someone who I find ugly.
I think I said something along the lines of "most Asian people have similar features which I deem unattractive", which was taken as:
- I think all Asians are ugly
- I judge Asian people based on their race
- I think all Asians look exactly the same
- I have racist views on Asian people
- I prefer White people to other races as a rule
- My definition of unattractive is ugly
ALL of the above are 100% UNTRUE.
|
Okay that may be, but the statement "most Asian people have similar features" is not correct and the addition of you calling those features unattractive is what makes it racist.

My comment was clearly not about what you had replied, but the lack of any resistance to the post you had quoted. Try again.

Anyway, to answer that question on the last page if you admit to finding some members of a specific race attractive but still insist on saying you "don't like" that race then you're probably racist yes.

Niece, why are you trying it with your #reverseracism today? Let me pull up Cain's post.
Quote:
I just don't care for white guys, for whatever reasons I find Arabic/black people way hotter, I like darker skin colors (I hate it when people are really white) and African people tend to have stronger facial features (bigger nose, jawlines), which I find attractive.
I'm also attracted to people with black hair, I've never in my life been attracted to someone with blond hair.
Why? I would have no f**king idea.
|
While I don't think that Cain is in the right for attributing attractive features to a certain race, he also doesn't exclude White people either in his definition of attraction. White people are not all pale. White people are capable of having stronger aesthetic features. White people do not all have blonde hair. He keeps his options open and he defines his preferences. You never did that in any of your posts, you simply said "Asian men are generally unattractive to me" without defining anything and that is fairly loaded.

I'm going to try to say this without coming across as racist, if that's at all possible.
Physical appearance is determined by genes and DNA. Different people have different genes and DNA structures. In "white" race culture, due to the nature of history, many white races have been mixed, which is why a lot of white people do not resemble one another, because they are literally mixes of people from ALL OVER the world.
Whereas, in many asian countries, such as China and surrounding countries, throughout history it's typical for parters to be both 100% Chinese, 100% Japanese, 100% Cantonese, whatever it may be. Therefore, they have similar features and pass those similar features down to the next generation. There is nothing wrong with this, it's just the way that it has happened.
Then you get Asian people who are mixes of other races, which differ from the traditional <insert particular Asian country here> look. For example, a 100% Chinese man would look different to a 100% Japanese man. Just the same, a 50-Chinese-50-Romanian man would look different to a 50-Japanese-50-Romanian man. Whereas 100% Romanian men would have similar features, yet they are white. Not THE SAME, but similar. See where I'm going with this?

It's not as important because white people won't encounter this often (if at all) in their lifetime.
But imagine you're a minority (asian for example), we can estimate around 370,000 of those are gay males. Spread them across the country and you see what a struggle it already is to find someone within your own race who won't disregard you just because you're asian.

You know what's funny about "most Asian people have similar features"? A lot of Asian people in Asia think all white people look the same. I could argue these beliefs have less to do with genuine racism and more to do with ignorance or inexperience. When you don't live around people of races different to your own, you tend to think people blend in and look the same. I wouldn't say that is racist, but like you said, COUPLING that notion with "those features are unattractive", is racist. I mean, not all Asians look the same, so it doesn't even make sense to say they're all unattractive.
All of those guys above are from Korea, which is a pretty homogeneous nation, yet they don't look anything alike.
