This whole "Christina changed" thing is really weird to me. I honestly don't think she changed that much. She's still confident and not afraid to voice constructive criticism if necessary
The article is so misinformed too. She's taken notes before, her "taking glee" with Tony Lucca's criticism is untrue, and she's always had diverse teams. If anything Jacquie this season reminds me more of a Mini Christina than any other female she's had in the past.
I think it really boils down to her weight and appearance no matter how much people say it isn't. People can't handle a woman with an opinion especially a bigger woman like she was on past seasons, while it's okay for a big guy like Cee-Lo to state point blank how Blake's Team has no talent or for Blake to talk about killing Adam.
But whatever lol. If it works in her favor, let them think what they want
I'm not agreeing with the entire article, but the reason I posted it was because I was happy to see someone else noticing what I have noticed with Christina this season.
Her personality this year has been so different. She's coming across so much more positive and likeable, and has let go of all the pretentious, diva remarks that she used to make. Yes, I know a lot of fans like that about her, but it came across really bad to me, so I can't even imagine how bitchy and rude it came across to the general public. A more personable and less egocentric Christina can only do well for her in the public eye.
And what you said about her weight I don't really agree with. Yes, she was much larger, but the only reason that came into play was because she continued to dress like she always had, which, even as a diehard fan, was not very flattering for her.
In addition to losing all the weight, she has also been dressing/styling a lot more toned down. Even though I love a lot of her outrageous looks, her looks this season will definitely win her over with the public more than her looks of seasons past.

Well what would you consider pretentious diva remarks? I agree in that I wouldn't like that either, but I didn't notice that coming from her. Was it mostly in Season 3? I didn't watch that season as much, so maybe I missed it, but I think she was fine in Season 1 and 2 and I don't really remember that kind of stuff happening.
And yeah the outfits made her look bigger than she was. But at the end of the day, I don't think people took that into account. They just saw her as an opinionated fat woman, and I do think people were harsher because of that.
And yeah the new outfits really help. The public always seems to love Christina the most when she dresses well especially like from 2005-2010 when she was in her "classy" days. And I guess now will be the start of a new "classy" era.

I mean S1,2,3 are all when She and us at the lowest. I mean everything was a mess so this is her "comeback" to the public eye
