Also, I noticed one thing. This song uses literally the exact same chord progression as "Counting Stars" by One Republic. Also very similar to Die Young and every other pop song in the world right now. I guess if you can play one, you can play them all.
I actually love "Counting Stars", and I've been listening to it for months now (it was big here in Australia a couple of months before the US), and I really don't hear the similarities. And saying that it sounds like "every other pop song in the world right now" is just plain incorrect. Timber does not sound like "Roar", "Wrecking Ball", "Royals", "Applause", etc. just off the top of my head.
There are some slight similarities to "Die Young", but it's produced by the same team, and it features vocals by the same singer, what do you expect, really?
