What a chaotic mess... I enjoyed it though! Okay, category by category:
Girls:
Ellona: Was GREAT. Her vocals weren't amazing, but the fact that she was doing such awesome choreography at the same time! She owned the stage, and she looked and acted like a star. She was the only one who truly performed like she was at her own show.
Danie: Disastrous. Deserved to go. It had no intensity and just felt so shallow, if you get what I'm saying.
Rion: I hate her. Sorry. Her performance was fine, but she acts like a spastic child. This is why 13 year olds shouldn't be allowed on the show. Her ridiculous hair flips and creepy smiles are just frightening.
Khaya: She was fine, but I've already forgotten her. She has absolutely no personality.
Overall Verdict: All but Ellona need to go.
Guys:
LOL FIRST OF ALL, Paulina is horrific as a judge. Britney ain't got nothing on her! She looks like she doesn't even know where she is half the time, and then just perks her head up and rambles something incoherent. Goddddd!
Carlito: He was okay. He had pretty good stage presence. The Latin Lover thing is getting old though.
Josh: He butchered poor Rihanna's song. Yikes. Deserved to go.
Pau's Pair 'o Fatties: LOL Neither of these two will ever sell a single record. Get them off the stage.
Overall Verdict: All but Carlito need to go.
Olds:
Kelly surprised me as a judge, she had some interesting techniques and actually seemed like a COACH. And she wasn't afraid to give criticism. I'm warming up to her.
Sadly, I really don't give a **** about any of her contestants. Rachel and Lillie and Jeff are talented sure, but they're boring. And Jeff isn't marketable at all.
That said, Kelly made the right decision.
Groups:
This is where it gets interesting!
Roxxy Montana: They were good, but they were totally a DC knockoff. It was like only the middle one was relevant.
Sweet Suspense: Well, surprise surprise. I wasn't expecting to like them at all, but they did that. Great performance. They owned the stage, and looked like a real group.
Alex & Sierra: Adorable and forever my favorite.
Restless Road: At first I was like what even is this but then the chorus picked up and I was like okay it kinda works. Simon is no fool, he knows that these guys have exactly what it takes to break into the country market. They're pretty much a 1D version of Florida Georgia Line.
Overall Verdict: Out of all the acts, Simon has the top 3 strongest. Restless Road, Alex & Sierra, Sweet Suspense, and Ellona are the only ones I can see doing anything after this is all over.
As long as A&S are still in, I'll keep watching... I suppose.
