The main artist writes the verses, that's what they do. They may even write some of the chorus.
There are so many writers on rap credits because rappers tend to sample a lot, and they have to give credit to the writers of said sample. It's like a sin to have a ghostwriter or not write your own stuff in the rap community.

Her mixtape days is when she did it. Not to discredit you because I know you know Nicki, but she stopped shading Kim after BMUS. It wasn't until Ray-J made that comment about Nicki at that Kim concert when Nicki got angry and really when the whole feud ACTUALLY began, because then Drake in turn said Kim isn't ****ing with Nicki at the show they were at, back in June-ish 2010.
