Not surprised. She has to move with the times without wanting hit after hit (because I do sadly believe that those days are gone - outside of a hit here and there), and this alternative-R&B-soul-pop thing is much more interesting and forward-thinking than anything that's going on in pop or a Trey Songz-dominated world of R&B.
