I think people put too much into what the GP thinks is a single. They don't really care. If people like DWUW, they'll buy it, if they like Venus, they'll buy it. They're not gonna sit there and go "OMG I can't decide which one to buy because I don't know which one is the official single..." Lol. It doesn't work that way. The only bad thing could be both songs becoming big hits and GaGa having "overexposure". But I think they're going to sound different enough that it won't matter. I think they should say screw it and promote both if Venus takes off. It's not impossible to promote 2 songs at once. They just need to focus more energy on the one that is getting better response.

Venus feels like it's going to be an amazing song but it also feels like it's going to be experimental to some extent. Like an album gem that the general public doesn't deserve.

I still think Do What U Want as a single is one of the smartest career moves she's ever done.

The public has no idea what the next single is. They will only know and/or care about whatever song gets a video and is played on the radio. As long as Gaga's team doesn't slip up, everything will be fine. They need to get that banner up, start radio, and start overall promo.

Except it's common knowledge Interscope changed it. Gaga want(s)(ed) Venus, not DWUW. She can't do anything about it. It's also more than obvious she wasn't the one tweeting earlier.

Not to mention her statement simply means charts and money isn't her driving force, making music is.
