It's possible rolling is for a much shorter time, we just don't notice it in percentages because iTunes only updates its popbars every few hours, so by the time we get an actual update, it's an aggregate of several updates for short amounts of time.
Anyway, I've been way too busy at work, I forgot that it's this week that iTunes is going to be a mess.
