Just like Luke evolved from Breakaway to Teenage Dream to Femme Fatale, Greg is changing his sound as well. But based on his track record, it seemed like he wasn't up to trying anything new. Stronger - Dark Side - Blow Me - Try - People Like Us - etc were the same ********. But then again, we should have realized how he was going to step his game up with a bigger profiled artist like Katy. I'm just hoping he finally gave Kelly a fresh sound for UTT and since there are a lot of comparisons to AIWFC, he probably did give her a sick beat since Kelly doesn't have any songs that is similar to Mariah's Xmas opus. That said, I'm still not a fan of Greg and prefer Luke's work with Kelly over Greg.
And no. It's not just "the stupid ones" who didn't like Greg. 90% of Base had their doubts and we were and are still privileged to our opinions. The same production single after single was becoming overwhelming to listen to and to think he was going to do that on WIR and possibly Kelly's next album was just frightening.

We can blame producers all day but at the end of the day Kelly is responsible for having enough knowledge to realize that it's time to choose a different sound and theme. Kurstin just creates what she and co. want, so at this point I'm relying on Sia to give her a ready-made melody that will shove her out of her comfort zone.

That comment that Sia(?) made still worries me. The comment being how she gave Beyonce her song that was intended for another vocalist. I think Kelly and Beyonce are the two best vocalist that she has had recent interaction with so it would destroy me if Bey get's another Sia song and Kelly is left with Jason Halbert, excluding CMB.
And blame should be on producers as well. They should be wanting to push their limits with vocalists such as Kelly. Imagine hearing something experimental from Kelly. We might not like it but at least it's different. Something Kelly has yet to do aside from CMB.
Yea, sucks about the Bey comment but I can't believe Sia would leave Kelly hanging with nothing.
Kelly switches up producers album to album to a certain extent yet these same producers are making gems for other artists who want a different sound. There's obviously something missing here and it's the attitude that Kelly initially had with making MD. But CMB is a great start, so I'm still hopeful.
Do we know for sure that Greg is working with Kelly on 6th pop album? There is so much going on with Kelly that I am getting lost in it. I think the original songs one WIR might hint us whether future work with Greg would be good for Kelly or not.

It's definitely Kelly you can hear it. It's how she's using her voice and pronunciation is very different but it's Kelly
Yeah, probably. I listen to the preview like 15 times in row and during the 5th or 6th time it started to sound like Kelly. It's very different from other songs Kelly recorded tho!
I played a few more or less new songs (aka songs from 2013) to my dad and he liked almost everything including Roar ( ), Applause, Royals and Blurred Lines but he very disliked Kelly's White Christmas. I have no idea how I can be his daughter because he strongly dislikes both of my faves...

It's obvious that he has a bad taste and we should be glad he dislikes Kelly's White Christmas because White Christmas is on whole higher level.
What doesn't he like? Her voice? Rendition? Or he doesn't like the song?

I think he doesn't like her rendition of it. He doesn't really like Kelly overall tho. I don't care, I don't like his favourite artists either, I just wanted to share his bad taste.
