But for me I can see why people don't like it, but to me this is the clearest form of Katy Perry I've ever heard. She took away a lot of the gimmicks. The 2nd half isn't "filler" but rather more introspective, vintage, and a representation of who she is (judging by what I've heard)
I envision this album being like a Saturday night out with your best friends. The 1st half is when all the thrill and recklessness happens and the 2nd half is the sleepy, deep convo, memory making moments.
It's perfect, and Katy finally strayed away from formulaic teenybopper earcandy.
I don't know why some of you are disappointed tbh.
This really does sound like a mature version of Teenage Dream and I think it'll be beautiful !
The productions sound way more interesting too than the ones on Teenage Dream.
It seems to have a nice 80's vibe running through it.
I can't wait for Ghost and Spiritual, I think those ones will be my faves !
Gorgeous. The melodies, the powerful, resonant atmospheres created in each song. Simply gorgeous. This is a wonderful change and I cannot wait to hear them in full glory! Katy has always been a marvelous storyteller and this could be the perfect album for her to showcase that!
