I agree with you. Mega Gengar is going to be incredibly strong. We have no idea how exactly Mega Evos will affect the competitive scene but Mega Gengar will almost assuredly be Uber.

Serperior has Contrary as an
unreleased Dream World ability. It doesn't exist in-game at all. The only way to obtain it is by hacking. I have a Contrary Serperior, a Shadow Tag Chandelure, and a Huge Power Slaking that I hacked. They're all equally legitimate
at this moment.
You're right that we'll see a Contrary Serperior before we ever see a Huge Power Slaking (agreed, never), but that was never my point.
