Maybe she'll sing White Christmas and the song will be released as a promo single ww. Maybe they are saving UTT for some more Christmas-ish time.
I honestly don't think she'll sing UTT on the View. I hope she/her label learned from Dark Side and the only promo ahead of its release. It would be so random for Kelly to release UTT tomorrow because one knows about it. Even about TIU we know a week or two or so before its release.
Yes because it's only the beginning of October. The viewers can't feel the 'holiday/christmas feeling' from UTT (maybe).
But as the other said, maybe she will sing TIU or Walk Away as the promotion of her country music and Greatest Hits album.

I think that if UTT is too Christmas-ish then maybe they should have released another one of the original songs as the first single/promo single. 4 Carats doesn't sound like the most Christmas song (judging only by its title). I mean, if UTT is too Christmas-ish, White Christmas isn't? It's like the most famous Xmas song ever! Maybe I am just overthinking it and WC is just a promo single, and then UTT will be released. I would really like to believe that they had a great plan for this era with the Xmas special etc.

Or she'll sing non-single song in WIR...? Yeah, 4 Carats doesn't seem like 'too christmas'
I hope they will really have a BIG plan for her in this era
Promo singles are just to let people know the album is coming out, it wouldn't be sent for airplay or anything. They may wait to release UTT closer to when it gets sent to radio which probably wouldn't be until November.

If promo singles let people know about the album but they don't get any airplay and promo etc how can be people aware of them and aware of the album?

Unless that is big bunch of initiative stans ofc.
They're just for sale basically. For a Christmas album in particular it makes sense because almost no stations play Christmas music until after thanksgiving anyway so it would be pointless to send it to radio before then.
**** her! So that means she's not releasing UTT, there's no way she can fit 2 UK singles.
Well now I guess she's gonna flop. Leona's lead Xmas single is uptempo and Susan Boyle will no doubt sell a lot in the UK. Let me go change my avi, I want UTT
Why she can't fit 2 UK singles? I checked a few Xmas albums of last years and some of them released more than 1 single (for example Bublé released 3). I hope for 2 or 3 singles off WIR.

I can't say that I fully understands the concept of promo singles but it is a little clearer to me now, I guess. Thanks jenna.
Because nobodys gonna buy Xmas music until December anyway, so why release multiple singles if you know they are gonna flop... It's pointless. I would rather just have one single for the whole time, that way the sales will be better, rather than spread out over 3 singles.
OK, so two singles and one promo single then. WC in mid October, UTT in November and Winter Dreams/Wrapped In Red in December. And maybe some country single.

Chart positions aren't as important for Christmas singles though... I mean as long as something from the album gets played it is providing exposure. I feel like half of Buble's album gets played throughout the season in the States And when Mariah's album first came out, they sent out 3 different singles to 3 different radio formats.

I love how Kelly's single release plans always get y'all riled up. Then she comes in with her 1-2 punch, ala: AMLT-MI, BA-SUBG, MKIA-STRONGER, and the upcoming WC-UTT.
You didn't think that I'd come back, I'd come back swinging
