All these meltdowns regarding the number of new Pokemon I was disappointed but I got over it, still sad though.
I think GF will start putting out less than 100 Pokemon in future gen since the total number is getting big, that or they will save the rest for the sequel/remake...
My biggest complain so far is that the stats of some new Pokemon are horrid and just not right...
There are barely any speedy Pokemon we have known from this Gen, it's so weird.
I mean you would think GF would have made them better because they aren't getting any Megas... but no.
And btw there's only ONE Ground Pokemon, it makes no sense whatsoever.
I thought the amount of pokemon would bother me more, but gamefreak finally added some of the things I always wanted in the games. Character customization + much easier training in many areas that were really grindy before. Hopefully IVs are easier too somehow... Overall I'm okay with what we got.
I wish the megas were limited to pokemon that needed them also... I'm okay with stuff like Jynx, Absol and Ampharos, but overall Garchomp, Mewtwo etc. were not necessary.
Some pokemon feel like they aren't done evolving like Avalugg.
It really makes me wonder if they're planning on doing proper sequels/releasing DLC Pokemon over time. They've been rethinking their strategies lately, I think we may get a few smaller batches instead of just the one huge one
But getting to experience almost all of our faves in full 3D will slay. People have been saying for years they want a region where you can catch EVERYTHING. Now we have it, and so many extras
I wanted a total of 800 pokémon to this generation...
but with that minimal number of new pokémon it doesn't feel like a new generation,
I feel the same way when Nintendo announce 3 "new pokémon" were joining Gen V (Meloetta, Genesect and the other) and that Kyurem had two fusions.
It's like they are announcing some new pokémon for Gen V.
We won't get a full list of Mega Pokemon for awhile. Since Matuda mentioned how hard it is to find them.

Nintendo guards the strategy guides for Pokemon even more tightly than the games. Ain't no one able to figure out the Regi mechanics without the internet telling them what to do
