People started rumors of her sleeping around, bleaching, being fake, having tons of plastic surgery, being a decade older than she was etc..... This got worsened when two members left and huge controversy erupted.
Bey came back with another DC album (Survivor) and slayed sold I think like 15 million. Then Bey went solo with Jay-Z got her first #1 and it's been huge hits, selling albums, great tours & performances (well her solo debut era performances are kinda weak) ever since
