If you're asking for a January release, you're asking for like a 2 month era, a huge mess of an era, and a career nightmare.

Lead single would be halted on airplay throughout December and wouldn't have time to build beforehand like her others, and the opening numbers would lead to relentless drags.

I mean, she'd get another #1 album, but...

I wouldn't be okay with this. Anything more than 2 years between Unapologetic & R8 would be excessive. I generally don't think artists should wait more than 2 years between releases no matter what kind of artist they are.

I'd be here for her starting to do year-and-a-half-ly releases.

R8 - May 2014
R9 - November 2015
R10 - May 2017
R11 - November 2018

Etc.

Rihanna is going to end the Unapologetic era and then go and take a vacation in December/January. Then she'll get bored, go to the Grammys, have fun and win for Slay ft. Genius Ekko and then decide to start making the album.

I want her to release her song in June, and her album in September. Then She can do promo during October and if she gets tired November/December are already huge sales months anyway so #R8 will hold it's ground on the charts. Her tour (if she chooses to have one, since she might be a bit tired of constantly touring.) can begin in Europe in March-Early June, hit a break, go to South America/Mexico/Asia/Everywhere else she paid dust this time from July-September, then stop. She re-releases it in November, tours the U.s. Nov.-Jan and then disappears from Jan-September and comes back with R9's lead single.
