According to an interview on Polygon, it has been stated that no Kalos Pokémon will have a Mega Evolution within Pokémon X & Y.
Aurorus has a move called Freeze Dry, which is an Ice-type move which freezes the opponent but is said to be super effective against Water-type Pokémon.

The only Pokemon from the Kalos region that will probably have Mega-Evolutions are the starters.

Various details are coming in from impressions at the media briefing last week. Pokémon will gain EXP when a Pokémon is captured. The Pokémon Centers not only have the standard PokéMart, but will also have a place for you to change your outfit

So Tyrunt's evo definitely looks like a Digimon but the other one is cute! I will probably only use Tyrunt tho.

I'm so excited for this game, its so close!

Still debating on which version I want to get tho. I was gonna get Y because of the chromosome theory that was going around a while ago, but then I saw that the Mewtwo evo exclusive was the ugly little kid buu looking thing and wanted to get X instead. But Yveltal >>>> Xerneas imo.

And no I wont get both because there's no sense in it. I'll wait for Z to come out instead!

Just the similar designs and color palettes look very similar to a couple of Digimon, imo.

But I also think the whole mega evolution thing that reminds me so much of Digimon might be clouding up my judgement since its already making me think of Digimon to begin with.

It could also be said that Digimon look like Pokemon. The thing that makes Digimon are the overdesigned creatures with all types of weapons and ****.

I have no problem with Mega Evolutions. I mean form changes have been around for a long time in Pokemon and no one said something about them

Well I mean it could be said that Digimon look like Pokemon but who ever says that would be wrong! Because its Pokemon who is making the move towards them being like Digimon with the over designed creatures and **** now with the Mega Evos.

Except that with Pokemon they're adding extra limbs and new lace fronts instead of more weapons (except Mega Blastoise's new cannon thing).

And the different forms in past games are w/e because they were exclusive to a certain kind of pokemon and now all of a sudden a bunch of them have a new form? idk it just feels so tacked on last minute as a way to TRY to reinvigorate the franchise but i dont think it'll work! i need to give it a chance obvi and I am but im still cautiously optimistic.
