10 Things You Didn’t Know About That Happened at TIFF13
Since I was fortunate enough to attend the One Chance premier at TIFF (where Taylor walked the red carpet and attended the premier), I wanted to write a blog on a few things I noticed whilst there.

1) All stars at TIFF for that show arrived in special service Audi SUV vehicles. Taylor, however, arrived in a Cadillac Escalade. (Queen).

2) The theater was just outside Yonge Street—the busiest street in Toronto. When other stars arrived, the street was shut down for a few moments. When Taylor arrived, the street was shut down for 45 minutes.

3) They actually added about 6x the amount of barriers for Taylor’s entrance. They also moved the barriers to the middle of the street (we were all asked to stand still while they did this, and for about ten minutes we were all standing there (linking arms) like an army getting ready to run. It was pretty comical if you had seen it).

4) The security was so scared about the fans getting hurt that they spent twenty minutes lecturing us on safety before Taylor’s arrival. This was not done for anyone else.

5) Taylor spent the most time with the audience than any other star that day.

6) There were a ton of paparazzi and older men who were there for the sole purpose of obtaining pictures or autographs for profit. They also openly discussed their strategies on selling whatever they obtained that day on eBay. I shared some unkind words with them.

7) I noticed that Taylor had something stuck in her bottom teeth. Still looked flawless.

8) Taylor was extra sassy to the security that day. I tweeted this story already: She grabbed my phone and the security guard had tried to pull her away, then tried to pull away my sharpie (I guess he was scared I would get it on her white dress) and she stood there with my phone and said “I’m just trying to take a picture here!”

9) Although Taylor stole the spotlight, it was obvious that she wasn’t trying to. When answering questions, she tried to keep the attention on the story line of the movie as much as possible.

10) The announcer of the movie who chose the audience members for questions was notably displeased about Taylor occupying the spot light. In the beginning, he introduced the cast of the movie as “the man/woman you’re all here to see.” When introducing Taylor (strategically placed last on the list), I sensed a little bit of irritation in his voice when he said “And now the woman you’re REALLY here to see.” During the Q&A period, he dismissed a young girl’s question toward Taylor with “Let’s focus on the film” (Taylor interrupted and answered the question anyway). He then purposely chose older audience members who he seemingly presumed would not direct their questions towards Taylor.

I agree tho, that the Lord in auto-pilot like now is boring as hell. Preach Now Tour was much more fun than this one, mostly because of the surprises.

This tour actually had more potential in terms of surprises but it failed to live up to expectations. The Lord has so many holy album cuts that have never or rarely been performed live. I really do not understand why she denied the fandom lots of excitement with making that segment of the show boring and predictable with these redundant choices. Maybe people are not singing words back to you because they want to cherish the occasion not because they are unfamiliar with the tunes?

This was such an awesome opportunity for her to play different songs that have never been played before or haven't been played in years...and it would probably be really exciting and mean a lot to her fans and while she occasionally dabbled and did some awesome songs, it was mostly just Our Song over and over.

In the earlier days of her career, she actively read and responded on myspace so she had a lot better idea of what her fans loved and wanted from her. I don't know eho she gets feedback from now, but they do her no favors. Im afraid the tabloids and media will shape her music and performance more than her own instinct and musical personality and her fans, as time goes by.

Some of you are suffering from ATRL syndrome and are starting to believe that our opinion=GP's opinion.
Our Song is a fan favourite, and a lot of Her fans discovered Her with that song, so of course it's special for 90% of concert-goers. Plus it's relatable and
I agree that it should've been included in the main setlist, but it wasn't. So instead of complaining about how She didn't play TTWAS we should be grateful we got Enchanted, Haunted, Long Live, Last Kiss, You're Not Sorry and Cold As You.

Red tour is still my favorite as well, and remains the best experience of mine.

The only enjoyable thing from SN Tour was the surprises, and the intimacy. That's it.

Julian is right. The GP probably doesn't even know if she's ever played Our Song before on tour, so, for them, playing the song would be a surprise. And Taylor doesn't even read tabloids or googles herself, she just checks her Twitter for fans' opinions.

That stage interviewer should've been grateful for her presence, without which there'd have been very little interest or press in this movie.

And I don't care what y'all say; I believe with the right direction and a good movie and script, and good castmates, Taylor would be a very good lead actress and very high box-office draw.
