You didn't got me
Nicole's album is for all we know still exc. produced by will.i.am. Back in end 2012, she probably had a full pop/electro/edm album with some minor other influences packed as album. Yet we got a pretty basic pop song with an uplifting message, while she should have came with a dance smash, I would have not liked Nicole to have Work B*tch as her own song, but she is one of the most amazing entertainers in the world and with a full force dance song, she could have slayed with a big dance performance, instead of what Boomerang brought, which is not a bad song, but also not the best potential song she could have chosen.
Also it is not really up to what we want to see, we also should look at an eye with a commercial approach. I agree that urban/pop like certain PCD songs could do her favour, but there is also no denying that dance is still a force that can't be ignored and Nicole is one of the few female popstars who can dance and sing, and she has yet to show her potential in that department. Even her first real dance collabo "Missing You" got her not featuring in the video.
Her best bet at getting some better performing global single would be something PCDesque or a dance smash, soemthing like DHYB could do well on WW scale though, but that is still better as a 2nd or 3rd single for a era.
