It continues to baffle me how it's always the most prudish, goody 2 shoes bitches who end up loving songs that romanticise drugs (Lana songs, We Can't Stop, that snoop&wiz song etc) the most, and then they act all disgusted and high and mighty if you light up a J around them. like, **** outta here, what kind of hypocrisy
They played We Can't Stop at the Black Student Union cookout at my school last week. Everybody was jamming. I was surprised. They even played Take Back the Night.
Of course. The younger black community seems pretty receptive to pop as a whole, at least from what I've observed.
but she might be the last artist they would ever admit to listen to If you like Britney, you're a ***; it's that simple. Even Gaga has some straight male fans left(for now).

Good god, I can promise you there will never be a song more honest, more raw, more open than Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross, he opened his life up and wrote about his fathers death and the way it affected his family right before his own untimely death happened while the song was happening.
A beautiful way to end a career and a life as amazing as his.
I know I’m praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved
I know you don’t do it usually
But dear Lord she’s dying
To dance with my father again
