PS
Jeezus, why do I always discuss here with children?

I am 20 years old, I am not a child. I am an educated, working adult. Acting in a condescending way towards me because I am younger than you shows immaturity on your part and you are making yourself look bad not me. Maybe rather than questioning why everyone here is younger than you, you should be question why an adult as advanced as yourself is spending their time arguing with 'children' on an internet pop music forum. My age is not relevant to this thread.

When your age isn't, you should not try to make a point when you mention his, in all fairness.

Lana is a grown ass women she should not have to conform to appeal to young girls. Every time a woman expresses herself people are what about the message it sends to young girls it's annoying. It's censoring women.

I agree to an extent but if someone is going to judge me by my age I am going to show them how it feels. Age shouldn't matter here period, music does.

Absolutely. I think a lot of women in this industry maybe aren’t doing so well for the girls. I’ve read interviews where certain big female stars are like, “I’m not a feminist.” I’m like, That’s not what it’s about. She’s great, but I listened to that Lana Del Rey record and the whole time I was just thinking it’s so unhealthy for young girls to be listening to, you know: “I’m nothing without you.” This sort of shirt-tugging, desperate, don’t leave me stuff. That’s not a good thing for young girls, even young people, to hear. I don’t really have any girls songs [for the new record]. I should have. But I think the way in which I assert myself as not being about that stuff is by writing about it in a way that’s a bit less obvious and less cloying. There are a couple songs on the record about relationship-y stuff, but I make sure to write about it in a way that you don’t know if it’s a friend or a relationship, because that’s something that’s personal to me.

She's right. Lana's insipid lyrics are my #1 problem with her. Lorde is 16 and lyrically is way more mature than Lana.

WTF is this even supposed to mean? Even Oprah Winfrey is a "One Hit Wonder" to you? Jesus Christ.
Edit: Just realized it's probably about Lorde but just wasn't expressed very well. Hate on her all you want, but the girl made a valid point. It's not her fault that it's true.

That can be a natural emotion though.
Lorde needs to grow up a little. I know she's only 16, but a lot of people that age have more sense than to say something like that.

Not even true. Have you even listened to Adele's songs? Adele songs may be about love but that doesn't mean it's about "Im nothing without you"
