I can't @ ya'll making such a big deal out of the nudity and the video being so provocative and raunchy, SO WHAT. By now if you ya'll don't know or realize it Miley is a controversial, edgy, and risque artist constantly pushing boundaries and challenging norms, she is never going to down-play herself or conform and become more subtle for people's likeness. Miley's going to do what the hell she wants to do no matter what anybody has to say think or feel about it.
This video is f**king amazing. Like, I could do without the hammer lick but this **** is iconic.
The emotion is unreal. Like, I got chills. This moved me. I'm in full support of this smash.
The nudity for me is more of a sign of vulnerability. The video and her emotion in it (and the song) are so raw. This is a perfect video for the song. I legit teared up.
The only thing i would take off is the hammer licking lol that just seemed unnecessary.

Besides that predictable tongue action (which really lowers the video for me) and those weird ball-POV shots, i actually really liked this.
The nudity was tastefully done imo, showing the vulnerability you feel when you're smashed to pieces because of love. I could feel that raw emotion pouring out.
It ruined the vibe.
