I would love for her to do it, especially if she could bring her concert set-pieces. I think she'd be really good. Sure, there'd be some criticism and bad press if she sucked, but that's the risk of being an entertainer. Come on, she's going to get criticism and bad press when she releases songs, goes to award shows, performs on TV. Should she stop doing those things?

He is, though. He has stronger vocals and he's much more consistent. His award show performances have always been good. Taylor's have been very hit-and-miss and some of her worst have been her most high-profile (Grammys). You can't blame the general public for thinking she's a bad live performer.
