As I recall I really started being active when they released the OWOA video. Before that the thread was pretty dead, and many of the established members ignored my posts . Then for about a month after the video (which I made a ton of avi's from) I was just the "guy similar to Fiss" since I made gifs and liked Louis.

Took my quite a while I get an identity in the base.

Are you really serious that it was this year or was it 2012? Then again, from what I could recall from March 14th on back to November, I never did see One Direction constantly on page one.

I was a member in 2012 just because I was watching Kelly's run on the Hot100 at the time. I didn't become active till WAYYYYYY later.

TBH I am a big singing show fan, and I casually used tumblr. So I was vaguely familiar with their existence before hand. On another forum around the release of the album some other members had avatars of the One Direction guys (I was new there at the time as well) and decided to join in. It was actually a Harry avatar.

So I had my first 1D avi before I even really knew hew they were

Then I purchased the album, watched a bunch of videos, and became a stan.
