BTW was only in the Top 10 for 9 weeks. Even TEoG spent a longer time in the Top 10 (of the Hot 100). Hopefully 4pplause can spend a longer amount of time there, even if it doesn't outsell BTW (which it won't, 3.9 million is too much to expect).

BTW's weeks at #1 were because its sales kept declining but remained above 200K, & since it peaked in AirPlay so early sales & AirPlay aligned pretty well. But then both fell at the same time & the longevity became a huge mess.

Was it really though? It's sales were quite front loaded, and you never hear it on the radio. Seems more forgotten in the regular world than a huge smash? It only sold 4 million, correct?

It seems to be clicking with the GP or at least the buying public. Its sales have actually been really impressive for a song that didn't debut very high

What are you saying? Ok, it was not a HUGE smash, but it was a smash, it did have nice longevity, even with the fact it sold massively fast. I'm not a big fan of that Gaga's change, but I DID like the song, and people were, that's a fact, if it was just because of the hype, it would plummet hell faster, it didn't. People always blame her for realesing, yeah maybe, because with a different material she would have done at the level of "Bad Romance" or even the wonderful "Poker Face", but the song was still a smash, people said: YES ma'am, I need BORN THIS WAY! It was a smash becase it was meant to be a smash, a fast smash, but still being a smash, though.

No it wasn't. All the weeks at #1 were only because of hype. It's a very forgotten song. It would not have become a hit if it wasn't her lead single.

Right? More like 7pplause. And Katy's lead is even more impressive cause of her 2nd version (#134) !

WTH? Harlem Shake DESERVED to top Hot 100, at least one week, the song was everywhere, when I was with my friends we were enjoying a lot listening to this song, and it kinda reminded me about Early 2000's Pop, it was nice to see it as a hit, such a fun song, pretty cool imo
