Lets clarify something: fighting does not make you "ghetto" and is not associated solely with being black, as many of you delusional trolls in here seem to think. Choosing to fight doesn't make you beneath anyone who chooses not to fight. If you're being bullied and harasses then no one is saying you SHOULD physically defend yourself but a slap on the wrist to the bully and a lady gaga speech isn't going to stop the issue any time soon. Gays have had to fight for years. I'd rather defend myself than have rocks pelted at me or worse. And Internet bullying isn't even an issue any more since you can do everything in your power to block anyone you don't want on your Facebook, twitter, etc. or you can simply log out and, you know, live life. Half you people on here are notorious bullies but when azealia or someone else publicly bullies you wanna put more energy into tearing them down than you did buying Marry the night and you da one on iTunes. messT

Lmao. I've always had this mindset (sort of, because bullying is wrong either way).

Setting back and let people mess with you freely is a huge mistake. Even if they mock you for trying, you're still sending a clear message you won't be an easy target. From the first moment someone attacks, you must push back.

So how about you teach kids not to bully, but also teach kids how to protect themselves from bullying when it does happen?

That's how it was for me when i was growing up. We were taught not to bully but also that some people were going to be bully's no matter what and how to protect ourselves appropriately when that does happen.

They're not the same but they go hand in hand. Words can only do so much. If my child was being bullied then best believe I would be teaching them how to knock a heaux delirious, not that it gets better at the end of the tunnel bulls***. My child could be dead by the time the bullying is over. There comes a point when you have to defend yourself- verbally or physically- especially if you're on the receiving end of bullying for no reason but being yourself.

I didnt mean fight back. Im saying they should learn to defend themselves, like, being able to avoid those situations somehow. If they keep allowing the bullies to "attack" them, they will keep getting weaker and weaker and then real disaster can happen. Teachers should help them out and give them tips so that they can avoid this type of situations.
