She HAS to be careful and choose the next single wisely. Aura is not single material, at all, the vocals (screams tbh) are even more annoying than Applause's.

The screams on the studio version are not that bad... and it's definitely one of the most mainstream songs we've heard so far, so I don't see an issue with it being a single.

I don't mean to criticize Aura that much. I just want the era to go well.

If Aura just has to be a single at some point, it should be the very last single, or a single after a few smashes where it's okay to have an underperformance.

May I remind everyone that the biggest hit of 2013 (blegh) has extremely rape-y lyrics, a line about "tearing your ass in two" etc. There's no reason Sex Dreams would need to be censored.

The lyrics about her touching herself and "white gloving" aren't exactly radio friendly. Hell, they censored Koons just because they thought she was saying coon. And Robin Thicke did get a fair bit of flack for the lyrics in Blurred Lines, plus we all know males in the music industry are treated differently than females anyway.

Why can't she just release what she wants? She's building a legacy. Who cares if the GP loves it yet? She'll still be respected worldwide for her good music, and she's made enough money already that getting hit after hit after hit and selling 15 million albums is no longer necessary at all. I agree! Monsters aren't giving I Wanna Be With You enough credit. Just because it's a ballad doesn't mean it can't slay (See "Someone Like You" by Adele).

It also has some of the most relatable lyrics in Gaga's entire discography.

Outside of the buzz of the huge collaboration between Gaga & Beyonce, I see that Telephone was successful because of how catchy it was.

Aura(if it is the continuation) is pretty epic though. I'd have to see how things turn out before I judge. Out of what we heard I don't see any sure fire hits, but that's what makes it interesting. Any of the new songs is fair game at this point.

The only reason people are insisting it's Aura is because of the "I killed..." line, which is clearly referring to the Old Stefani. Interpreting it the other way assumes that she wrote the song specifically to be a Telephone continuation, when it's probably more likely that she just wrote a bunch of songs and then decided which one fit the trilogy best. It could easily be MANiCURE, Swine, or Sex Dreams (uh hello, a lesbian sex anthem is the perfect continuation to Telephone ). It could even be Jewels and Drugs; she could kill off each rapper in the video.

Also I'm 95% sure Gaga leaked Aura herself, which leads me to believe it will remain an album track.

Gaga does look at the polls but ultimately it's the decision that her and her label make as to what will be the single in the end.

I don't even think the song is on the album, personally.. but could be wrong.
