I really don't even get the Ke$ha comparisons, aside maybe from the line about alcohol at the beginning of the song. The Katy sounds are much more obvious, though tbf to Katy I don't think she sounded all that different once she started working with Bonnie. I'd say she got better melodies and lyrics but her vocal stylings remained pretty much the same on the Bonnie tracks on TD as they were on her OOTB tracks.
I think the Ke$ha comparisons are because they both sound a little nasally like jmpgreen said. I love American Girl though. It would smash if it actually caught on.
