She should have atleast 22 #1's, had little mistakes in her career been done correctly. She could have 25+ #1's had they REALLY BEEN THIRSTY, which is insane.

Loverboy - Had Tommy not been bitter and discounted Destiny Child's "Bootylicious" to purposely block "Loverboy" from #1.

Endless Love - Was Luther's single, but had they been greedy could've went from #2 to #1.

Shake It Off - Blocked herself from #1 with WBT. Had this been released after it'd be a #1.

Can't Let Go - Had they been a biT more desperate since they weren't desperate yet it would've gone #1.


"Forever" also went #9 on Hot 100 Airplay, WITHOUT being a single. Had they released it as a Physical Single w/ the usual discount it would've been allowed to chart, and skyrocketed to #1. Same with "Butterfly" which went to #16 on Hot 100 Airplay. "My All" only reached #15 on Hot 100 Airplay, yet still went #1 so those 2 could've been #1's if singles.


You also have to add in the factors that many of her eras during the end were cut early because Tommy was bitter. "All I Want For Christmas" also was #12 on Hot 100 Airplay, but wasn't allowed to chart at the time. Could've also been #1.

Yes, the Glitter era only flopped to begin with because Airplay. He got away with the Destiny's Child mess because Loverboy flopped on Airplay.

Charmbracelet was a success single sales wise too, but ruined by airplay.

Singles from both eras:
Loverboy - #1 (4 Weeks) for Single Sales, #50 on Airplay
Never Too Far - #3 for Single Sales, Didn't Chart on Airplay 100.
Through The Rain - #1 (2 Weeks) for Single Sales, Didn't Chart on Airplay 100.


Her single sales were also good during those eras, but Airplay ruined it.

Your welcome. A friend I used to talk to who loved mariah introduced me to some more obscure remixes of her, made me find a new appreciation for Mimi. Apparently that's what was the original sound for Dreamlover but Tommy thought it was too urban apparently. Hence why I made the thread "Mariah is the queen of remixes" or something like that
