just cause some songs have mainstream appeal dont make them pop sis
plus theres been plenty of songs done by rappers or black artists that have a pop-ish feel and they still play them on urban radio cause they are black or whatevs
Eminem simply doesn't appeal to the Urban audience. I don't think it's necessarily a skin color thing because Robin Thicke and Macklemore got a lot of Urban airplay, Justin Timberlake does as well. Maybe it's the subject matter. Eminem is stereotyped (his own fault) as trailer park-ish. Maybe that's a turn off for rap music particularly. The white artists that get played on Urban radio tend to have more rhythmic less rock sound. Maybe Eminem just needs more rhythm LOL
