In all seriousness, I don't know. My only guess is that obviously "Best Song Ever" wasn't as much of a hit in comparison to "Blurred Lines", "I Need Your Love", and probably another song that was in the category, and so people felt like it was undeserved?
While I agree that the song definitely wasn't "song of the summer", it's a legitimate win for the guys because it was fan voted. Of course we knew they were going to win from the get-go but should the guys be punished for having a huge fanbase? I don't think so, the booing is unwarranted.
I'm really glad that Lady Gaga went and told them that they deserved all of their success, and I hope that the guys don't feel deterred by the situation at all.
