Gypsy isn't a derogatory word outside of Europe (more a romanticized notion of living an ever-changing nomadic life) . And even in Europe, it's only a derogatory term in certain countries.
And there certainly won't be any backlash if she's promoting the term in a positive light, which she likely will be.
