Disco, that's the way it is, they didn't choose her for some random situation, it's because she is taylor swift, because the only mention of her name generates more noise than a ****ing tsunami, it's all about the name and how big she is.
Me and my friend were actually talking about feminists the other day. Before I say anything I just want you to know that I am all for equality but **** me dead they are probably one of the most annoying groups of people on the earth. They don't stand for equality, if they had it their way women would have greater rights than men. And they have this whole notion of that if you're a woman you have to be a feminist. And this whole thing about Taylor being a feminists nightmare?! Like I'm sorry, haven't you got more important things to worry about other than a girl who loves sparkles and cats? Put your energy and focus onto issues that revolve around girls being denied the right of education, and actually important things like that, not a woman who has successfully built this multi million dollar career with nothing but her guitar and talent, and who is constantly looking for ways to become a better person. Because I'm sorry, if I had a young daughter Taylor would be an amazing role model, I would be happy if she listened to her and looked up to her.
Bottom line, Taylor is a FEMALE making 10x as much money as her male counterparts, with music she makes freely, independant from label heads forcing her to write/record what they think is profitable. She runs a multi million dollar empire ranging from music, merch, perfumes, etc all on her name and her power. Shes a feminist's ultimate dream.
Feminists think they are right and everyone should follow them because they are progressive. ********. Then can someone explain to me that Hugo S. mess? That one guy who is actually a cretin but accepted, given access, and even defended by mainstream American feminism? You protected the real monster, you idiots.
Just because what they say are cool and 'sounds like something great', doesn't mean they are good for your cause. DO! Not just talk.
Speaking of feminist critic, remember Sady Doyle? I just found out why she likes to belittle Taylor and cherry pick stuffs. It's all because she thinks She's the Michael Bay of female singer-songwriters. And that she assumes that deep inside She's a bitch. Are you ****ing kidding me with that?
Feminism is still heavily flawed. Actually, everything is flawed. Maybe feminists should take a second to think before they speak.
This modern day feminism is seriously so ****ed up and its sad to see lots of people buying into this BS. The main goal for it should be equality and freedom for everyone to do whatever the **** you want with your life without restrictions. Ironically this is exactly what they are fighting against when it comes to Taylor. So ****ing what that she likes to be a feminine girly girl. Its her ****ing choice. Does not make her weak. Especially when we know what a huge ****ing EMPIRE she runs. There is just other she enjoys as a woman.
I have decided to ignore this BS lately. Just pisses me off too much.
She's in my Trinity of faves so I must join this. Favorite song by her: Should've Said No! I found out her existence in March 2009 when I was looking for random country songs on Youtube, since I live in Italy and nobody knew her yet back then. Surprisingly, I found her album in my local music retailer on the same month and I bought it. Been a stan ever since!
