SYG Question: So just to get this straight, HIV is not an acceptable fan base nickname but the Rihtards is? So it's a ok to make fun of Mental illness but not physical illness. And more importantly, why are the racist Rihanna ape gifs allowed? Why is racism even allowed in SYG? It's against the rules to insult an entire fanbase but it's not wrong to insult an entire race? Is that how little you respect your black members? Polls even show that the overwhelming majority of ATRLers are against racism being permitted on ATRL. So why exactly is it still allowed? I want answers.

Perhaps SYG should either get a broader set of rules, certain people banned for overreacting to posts, or a permanent closure.
I think with the way SYG has gotten since we let in the newbies, we should reopen NHB. I mean SYG has kinda turned into NHB anyway. I wanna talk about music/sells in SYG not how dumb the Navy are or about the state of Taylor Swift's cooch.
Look, the SYG moderation is a very fine line. Some of these people are new to the site or relatively new to ATRL in general.
However, we had SEVERAL rules in the OP previously to protect from STD/Domestic Violence/Children/etc. and our members complained that "all of the fun" was taken out of SYG and that it was pointless without near total liberty to drag celebrities.
Now, we have to deal with complaints that it is getting out of hand.
I was one of the MAIN moderators who pushed for everything to be removed, because I believed (as a stalwart of SYG) that it should have more freedom.
There are moderators who are ready and waiting to impose all of those rules and MORE back on.
There are moderators who want to get rid of SYG entirely.

I agree.
People are obviously getting too angry at posts in SYG, so NHB would be a great place for them to let off steam.
Obviously for the sake of sponsorships and all that, limit the thread viewing to users a la blogs.
This is like the time people were dragging Britney for days, and then some of her stans demaded for SYG to be closed.
Maybe that's the only real solution here?
I don't think people want it both ways. There are only 2 fair ways. You either allow everything from miscarriage/death/HIV jokes (I don't see why racism should fit under that umbrella), or you make rules against offensive language consistantly. By banning the use of BeeHIV and allowing the use of the "Rihtards", you are doing neither.
