Does anyone else notice that of all the people mentioned on the same page (the top 10 artists): Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons, Jay Z, Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, Anna Kendrick, and Capital Cities - the only one that had her video displayed on its page (an invitation to click “play” and watch it) is Lady Gaga. The only one.
If that is not “playing favorites”, I don’t know what is…
So, yeah, I guess it’s safe to say that Bill Werde’s nicely minced words about Gaga scamming the charts were all for show:
Billboard is officially on Gaga’s side, and they will push that annoying track until it miraculously (and mysteriously) hits the no. 1 position - and it’s NOT going to be for its sales.

They've been doing that for a while. Usually, when an artist hit top ten or if its moving up the charts, their videos get posted. You noticed that Katy's is there, too, right? She, also, entered the top ten this week.
Stop trying to make drama happen here.

You see babe, Unlike little monsters I wouldn't go around posting things I wasn't involved in. I contribute to PDLM.
In any case dear, You can sit here and cry about it not being credible all you want. You can say PDLM is a liar, you can act like an ignorant teenager all you want.
Anything I post on this site, will be factual. All you need to do, to see that my comment is in fact true is look for yourself.
Open up the article. You will find that applause is the only video promoted.
It's as simple as that hon.

It was amended after they suffered criticism for it. However the original article promoted applause only. In any case,
THIS:
Is still different to
THIS:
You're also missing the point. This isn't about lady gaga vs Katy Perry. You need to get the notion that the world revolves around gaga out of your head, It's also unfair to show Katy Perrys video.
Now that views count towards chart performance billboard should remain completely neutral.
What about : Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons, Jay Z, Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, Anna Kendrick, and Capital Cities.
They didn't get their video promoted by billboard - the people responsible for the charts. Why?

No, it won't. "Blurred Lines" won't be any lower than #2, and the only song that could possibly rank ahead of it is "Thrift Shop."

That's a fair comment.
EXCEPT - Views now count towards chart performance. Billboard being the ones responsible for the charts should remain completely neutral. None of the other artists got free billboard promo when their videos dropped.

Probably because they just debuted in the Top 10?

Streaming is a huge factor to Billboard's chart. A video in a Billboard article does not do anything to hurt anyone

Katy's "Roar" video has been posted in multiple articles, including when she debuted on pop and the Hot 100. You don't need to be worried over "Applause;" it won't hit #1 regardless.

Well this is where out conversation will have to end. I disagree. It does make a difference.
It's like someone that works at the lottery buying a lottery ticket. - They don't allow it.
Billboard (being responsible for the official charts) should not be showing preference to any artist.
If you believe otherwise then thats your right I guess.

Roar has been mentioned by the MEDIA. Remember, Billboard are the official organisation responsible for the charts.
The media can show bias, A lot of the media is based on the writers opinion, but billboard? No. They are responsible for the charts - they need to remain neutral. I'm not at all worried about applause.
It's success or lack of doesn't interest me. I'm much more interested in the integrity of the music industry.

"Roar" had its lyric video uploaded on last week's update, too.
There are always music videos in every update.

Oh dear.
And while we are on the topic of lies....
Maybe we should create a thread dedicated to Perez Hiltons Psychic abilities......

If you are talking about the 2013 year-end, then I disagree. However, if you are talking about 2014 year-end, then yes. Blurred Lines is going to fall off the Hot 100 long before Radioactive does.
In 6 months, Radioactive will be the longest charting Hot 100 hit ever.
