Perez doesn't actually like any of the pop girls, he only clings onto the ones that are successful (Gaga before) or starts to like one to get back at someone he doesn't like (Gaga and Christina now). I've said it before but the second they start to underperform/flop, he dumps them. That's what happened with Christina and Bionic and Lady Gaga and Born This Way. If Christina became majorly successful again, he'd be kissing her ass but luckily she'd just continue to pay him dust
I'm so glad Christina doesn't get involved with him or say anything about him, because that's what he wants. He must've been so mad when she never mentioned him and just kept ignoring him. That brings me some pleasure to think about

That's the main problem tbh, she seems to be pretty stubborn. If she would just try instead of leaving her music to stand on it's own and assuming it'll do just fine without her support, she would be in a much better position right now. Not saying she'd be selling millions again, but imagine if she had given more of a push to Just a Fool? She could've had a platinum selling single as a lead artist and the album could've possibly gotten to a gold certification. No time to think about the what ifs I guess. Let's just hope it gets better in the future.
And all mainstream success begins and ends at radio. So for her to not try doing interviews or that kind of thing with them didn't make sense.
