Taylor is far beyond that mentally deficient creature. Many become famous as children (Britney, Bieber, Michael Jackson, etc.) but only one ages gracefully. The others are douchebags, vegetables, pedophiles, drug-addicted fiends, trailer trash, or some combination of the above.

Justin doesn't really deserve the Vanguard award for his own work as basically all his videos sans CMAR suck but it kind of just makes sense right now. He's made a big comeback and he's very popular at the moment.
He's been around for 15+ years now and his work with NSYNC must be taken into account as well. The videos for BBB, IGBM, and Pop are very iconic and were huge.
