Child, what are you saying? Britney just released a countdown to the single, for God's sake and media outlets are already reporting on it. The hype has officially begun. And we'll be getting more news soon.
Although, I do think it's possible that Katy can block her and it's not reaching to assume so but it depends on whether or not she has released her video by then.
If the video is out by then, I think Britney can get to #1 on iTunes. She'll probably have a radio deal, an interview with Seacrest, the audio video which will probably have banners on YT, a banner on iTunes, and all that sweet stuff so for now I don't really see what you're concerned about.
I am lowering my expectations. If it flops I will say I WAS RIGHT. If it smashes, I will be happy to exceed my expectations.
