THYLI is so juvenile and corny and the telephone-ring sound effect looped throughout the song + "I like the way you brush your hair" just makes the whole thing tragic. Penny Proud Valentine's Day soundtrack tbh.
But she always has at least 2 tragic songs per album. THYLI and Payola Star were those on DIL but overall the album is an R&B classic (bitch even had a song with Luther!) and something that will age better than the rest of her discog. I am.. Sucha Thief will age the worst. Its her worst album. The 2 flops are in the middle.

Yes, the Hive loves to brag about Bernard his image (especially when fighting the Navy); however, it also comes with a downside. If another artist had release Bow Down/I Been On/Whatever, it would have not been scrutinized for its lyrical content.
