Mmmm, but in the US, Blue is a Game character, it is the rival and the champion in the 1st gen games, while in the 2nd gen games he's the 8th gym leader at Kanto.

Never mind, I just read in Bulbapedia that his Japanese name is Green while overseas he's known as Blue.
Probably because Pokémon Green was released instead of Pokémon Blue in America. #FlopStan

Fennekin is supposed to have Psybeam, so it basically confirms Fennekin is Fire/Psychic

Some other tidbits from the Game Show :

* To access Mega Evolution there's a button on the screen that allows you to transform. So it can be done at any time. Also, you are able to attack in the same turn you go mega.
* Fennekin knows Psybeam
* Running is not automatic, and to walk you can press "B"
* At the end there was this scene that is not in the X&Y games but something entirley different, people are speculating it to be the next Stadium-type.
