The perfect ingredients to make a good pop song that the GP will eat for the next couple of weeks. It is also very safe with all the dance trend dying down along with the alternative pop rising up. At this point Blurred Lines only sells about 40K per day (except from Friday to Sunday when it gets a slight weekend boost), but that still put Katy's sales to slightly above 200K during the first two days.

These people talking about #1s on a lot of countries, they do realize that the songs in MOST (90%) of these countries sell less than 1000 copies a week (the number one).
