So my radio station picked up Roar this morning. I've been in the car for three hours and heard it five times. She's going to LEVEL Blurred Lines this week and y'all can quote me.
People like seeing their fav win Grammy's. The only ones who don't pay attention to it are the ones who's fav(s) don't get any/haven't gotten any
It's a small group of snobs voting for their fave. The average ATRL poll has a larger sample size. The whole Grammy circus is completely meaningless other than the entertainment the night itself provides.

there are the ones that hate fan voted awards because if their fave doesn't have that pull they never win (hence the hatred towards Gaga, Beiber, and 1D)
Then there are the ones that hate committee awards such as the Grammys for random reasons

!! one Grammy alone is probably worth more than this entire forum. Most stans at least like to see if their fav wins. And most people ranting about Grammy's being worthless/useless are the ones who's fav never wins any (Katy and Britney stans)
