"Gimme More" UK First Week Sales & Midweek News

"Gimme More" has sold 38,000 copies in the UK in 7 days since it's release; 17,000 downloads saw the track debut at #3 on Sunday; since then it has sold an additional 11,000 copies on Sunday and Monday, of the CD and download. A 5-track remix EP will be available on iTunes this week; currently the track is at #4 in the UK midweeks, behind Leona Lewis, Take That and Sugababes.

"Break The Ice" is probably the best thing she's ever recorded. The sickest beat drops after the great intro.

The album is incredibly strong from #1-4, and then it's good for the rest. Extremely consistent. This is in the same caliber as "FutureSex/LoveSounds".

All I have to say is that the CD survivor will be HARD! It's a very good album. I thought Gimme More was going to be the only song that I would listen to, but I actually enjoyed the album.
